Our Concerns
  • The decline in the standards and status of agency based professional social work practice – evidenced by a split between the clinical and case management components of practice,
  • A growing trend toward filling social services positions with non-social worker staff;
  • A diminishment in the quantity and quality of professional social work supervision, and
  • Increasing emphasis in the field of social work and agencies on evidence based practice that tends to rely exclusively on quantifiable outcomes that  diminish the holistic approach of the profession.
